A Bit About Me

I am an author working and living in Brittany. To date, I have written 3 books, and one short story. The first book is entitled, Known to Social Services which is a fictional, but personal account of life as a child protection social worker in the UK. Known to Social Services was the WINNER of the autobiography/biography section at the 2015 London Book Festival and won an Honorable Mention in the General Non-Fiction Section of the 2016 Paris Book Festival.

My second book titled, Gozo Is the Grass Greener? offers an insiders glimpse of life on the small but increasingly popular island of Gozo, Malta where we lived for five years. Filled with anecdotes, both humorous and sad, Gozo Is the Grass Greener? Won an honorable mention at the 2015 London Book Festival and was a recent WINNER of the autobiography/biography section of the 2016 Paris Book Festival.

My short story is titled, Merlin The Hound Dog and is an account of our rescue dog Merlin, who we adopted from a refuge in Brittany where we live.

My latest work is a novel, titled Caught in Traffick. The book is about the harrowing world of child trafficking and is set in Thailand. Caught in Traffick was awarded an Honorable Mention in the General Fiction Section of the 2016 London Book Festival.
